Riverhill Himalayan Gardens, near Sevenoaks, Kent is bravely contemporary, yet steeped in history. The Rogers family have created a relaxed, friendly escape for garden lovers and families alike to enjoy.

There are over 12 acres of historic gardens to explore, punctuated with contemporary sculpture, as well as woodland paths, breathtaking views and plenty of benches for quiet moments. Expect the unexpected as you wander from the manicured perfection of our famous Walled Garden via our historic Rose Walk to the wild jungle, wood garden and spectacular Edwardian Rock Garden, carpeted with ferns.

We are a garden for all seasons so there is always something new to enjoy here. Be sure not to miss our carpets of bluebells and spectacular array of rhododendrons and azaleas in Spring, as well as incredible alliums and peonies in June, fragrant roses during the summer months and spectacular autumn colour in October.

The gardens capture children's sense of adventure and imagination, with den building in the woods and the adventure playground to explore as well as our fiendishly tricky hedge maze to solve. We also have our very own, much loved, Riverhill Yeti, who can be spotted helping to make dens in the Chestnut woods. (Weekends plus school holidays 2-4pm only)

Riverhill Café in the Gardens have a wonderful selection of freshly made light lunches, delicious coffees, homemade cakes, ice lollies and ice creams - what more could you need!? Enjoy in the café or outside on the glorious sun terrace. Picnics are also welcome in the gardens (not on the Walled Garden Terraces or Rose Walk please).

During school holidays and bank holiday weekends, Riverhill puts on some fantastic family events which are all FREE after entry to the Gardens.

Dogs on leads are always very welcome here.

Season tickets also available.

Kent is known for its food reputation and with a list containing five Michelin stars, a pub straight from the top 20 of the National Restaurant Awards and a fair few AA Rosettes, we thought it was about time we started shouting about some of Kent’s best restaurants.
