The Freewheel Pub and Cycling Cafe

The Freewheel is not just an inviting pit stop for cyclists, walkers and locals to re-fuel, but also has a fully-equipped workshop attached for both running repairs and scheduled servicing for all types of bicycle.

Situated just two minutes from National Cycle Route 1 which runs from Dover, throughout Kent and then north to Shetland it is the perfect place for people to either stop off en route or indeed start a day’s riding or walking from. The first of it’s kind in Kent, The Freewheel offers home cooked food and a range of drinks from locally sourced teas & coffee, our own Freewheel Ale and a full range of popular drinks as well as onsite expertise in bicycle repairs and maintenance.

As a hub of the community we have a range of regular events including Art Club, Bat & Trap Matches, Bike Jumbles, Bridge Club, Guitar Club, Curry Night, Astronomy Night, Folk Night, Open Stage Night, Quiz Night and every Wednesday it's Bus Pass Lunch.

The Freewheel Cycling Club rides out every Sunday at 9am and 10am and there's mid-week rides on Wednesday and some Thursdays.
