Hear the intrepid story of Medway Queen and her valiant crew at Dunkirk. Find out about her progress towards full restoration.
Paddle Steamer Medway Queen “Heroine of Dunkirk” will be 100 years old in April 2024. As part of the celebrations to mark her centenary we are delighted to show a unique film, about the ship, by celebrated producer and author Peter Williams. This part-dramatized production, focuses on her exploits at Dunkirk, it includes rare archive footage and excerpts from the written account of Sub Lt. John Graves, who is played by distinguished local actor Dan Cole. There will be an opportunity, at the end of the film, to ask questions and hear about the current progress towards full restoration. Come along and hear the fascinating story of this wonderful little ship. Following the success of the film’s premier at Canterbury Christ Church University Chatham Maritime, in March, we are delighted to have the opportunity to show it once again. Details shown below:-
