Canterbury for Ukraine invites you to join a special fundraising concert to honour the life of Alexandra “Sasha” Ghosh
Canterbury for Ukraine invites you to join a special fundraising concert to honour the life of Alexandra “Sasha” Ghosh — a brave young Ukrainian girl who fought cancer with incredible strength, but sadly passed away.
This concert is not only a tribute to Sasha, but also a dedication to all children currently battling this illness in Ukraine — and those who, like her, have lost their fight.
This event is organised in collaboration with the Alexandra Ghosh Memorial Foundation, and aims to raise awareness and provide vital support to Ukrainian children suffering from this devastating disease.
This evening, Canterbury for Ukraine raises funds for Tabletochki Foundation — the largest charity supporting children with cancer in Ukraine. Today, more than 80% of newly diagnosed children receive help through the foundation’s programs: essential medication, outpatient housing, psychological support, and much more. But they can’t do it alone.
That’s why we’re coming together — to raise £5,000 in support of Tabletochki. Because every ticket, every donation, helps keep a child’s treatment going. It helps a mother stay strong. It helps a child believe they’re not forgotten. Each entry ticket will help to cover two doses of vitamin D that helps protect a child’s bones from becoming fragile during chemotherapy.
A sponsorship of £500 would cover the cost of a month of cancer medication for one child in Ukraine.
An inspiring programme of music performed by talented artists, united in memory and hope: C4U Ladies’ Choir, Arin G, Rebecca Stroud, Isaac Parker, On Yellow and Blue and other special guests.
The concert will take place 5 July from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm at Great Hall, Kent College, Canterbury.
