Visitors can enjoy pumpkin carving, potion making, Halloween themed refreshments and explore our spooky exhibits. Fancy dress is encouraged, with prizes for the spookiest outfits! Plus, find our brand new creepy display in The Front Room!
Entry is free with additional payable activities available.
Mother Crawe and the Crows’ Curse – Family Halloween Trail
Discover the story of ‘the witch’ Mother Crawe at The Beaney this Halloween! Explore the museum with Mother Crawe’s feathered friends and help lift The Crows’ Curse. Plus, complete the trail successfully for your chance to win an Amazon Fire tablet for just £5 per trail.
Owl Display
As part of our spooktacular fundraiser, visitors will have the chance to meet some of Mother Crawe’s mischievous feathered friends. You’ll get to see real live owls up-close and learn all about them (with some spooky facts!)Drop by our Explorers and Collectors Gallery between 11am and 3pm either day to catch a glimpse.
Pumpkin Carving & Potion Making
This Halloween half term, you can catch us getting all kinds of creative in our Pumpkin Carving and Potion Making workshops! Make your own spooky mixture while learning about potions, charms, and how ingredients were used in the past to create creepy concoctions! Plus, find out more about spooky Halloween Folktales and create your very own piece of veggie art (minus the messy clean-up for mum and dad).
The price for these creepy activities are, £5 per child with 1 free adult allowed with them.
