Faversham Open Gardens & Garden Market Day

29th June 2025

Welcome to Faversham Open Gardens & Garden Market Day!

This year, we’re delighted to welcome a record number of generous garden owners and market stallholders offering plants, gardenalia, and locally made crafts. Thank you all for your wonderful support.

We’re also excited to be working for the first time with the National Garden Scheme, so garden ticket sales will raise money for health charities like Macmillan Cancer Support and Parkinson’s UK. This year, market proceeds will go to Abbey Physic Community Garden – a vital local charity promoting mental well-being and social connection.

Special thanks to Mary Bruce of the National Garden Scheme for her invaluable help, and to Shepherd Neame for their continued sponsorship, which allows 100% of our income to support charity. And we’d also like to thank The Faversham Society, a charity founded in 1962 to protect and celebrate the town’s rich heritage for future generations. You’ll see them at the Visitor Centre and also selling second-hand gardening books at their Fleur de Lis bookshop in Preston Street.

New this year, we have asked The Faversham Horticultural Society to provide us with some experts who can answer your gardening queries. Find their ‘Gardeners Question Time’ stall in the Market Place.

As you explore, you’ll find plenty of cafés, pubs, and some gardens serving teas (marked on the map). Please note that there may be a queuing system if there are a large number of visitors to the smaller gardens. Some gardens may have hazards such as ponds or uneven paving, so please check the signage on display at each location and make sure that children are supervised at all times.

Thank you for visiting and making the day such a special part of Faversham’s calendar. We hope you have a really enjoyable day.
