Join Andrew, a local historian, and Ben, a professional photographer, on a stunning walk in Canterbury to include a photography masterclass, a local history guide, lunch and refreshments, and a chance to find out more about the wonderful and largely undiscovered parts of Canterbury.
We’ll start this very flat walk with some photos of Rosie, the red bus on the beach, then over to a Margate icon, the country’s oldest surviving amusement park, Dreamland, for some nostalgic footage. A stroll through the old town, then along the harbour arm, and a photo session featuring Antony Gormley’s Another Time sculpture in the sea (tide permitting!).
We’ll end in the café at one of the UK’s leading galleries, the Turner Contemporary, for lunch, and stunning views across Margate Sands. Nostalgia, the coast, pop culture, and photography – a great mix on this walk!
The walk will last a couple of hours, with a further hour set aside for lunch and conversation. You'll leave with lasting memories (and a photo or two taken by Ben!) of these quintessentially Kent places.
Cost is £75 per person.
Additional Information
