Instagram: it’s a place for inspiration, where photographers can share their beautiful photos and all of us get to marvel at how wonderful the world can look, wherever we might be. Here in Kent, there’s so much beautiful scenery all around us, and over on @VisitKent we get to share photos that brighten up our day to remind us how lovely our county is, all from the comfort of your own home. We thought we’d show you some of the best! We hope they bring you as much joy as Kent brings to us...

Tremendous National Trust

A castle rising from a sparkling moat, a palace emerging from a misty morning or an estate garden covered in rows of beautiful blooms - Kent has so many National Trust properties and we love featuring them in all their regal glory. Whilst they're closed at the moment, we'll be thinking of them by showing them here and reminding us of how beautiful they really are!

Works of Art

The Folkestone Artworks are stunning against their outdoor backdrops and photos of them frequently take our breath away! Whether it's the spine-tingling Antony Gormley sculptures or the magical Folkestone Mermaid statue by Cornelia Parker, it makes us feel so lucky to be on #EnglandsCreativeCoast.

Dogs of Instagram

Need we say more?!

Oh wait, we will say this - we have an entire feature dedicated to the pawfect pooches that roam our Kent terrain! Get ready to say 'awwhhh!'

History in Rochester and Canterbury

Our cathedrals in Rochester and Canterbury tower over our cities with their awe-inspiring architecture, and if you head over to Instagram you'll see they look stunning come rain or shine! These places of worship have been around for almost a millenium - it's pretty magical to think how many people have had their day brightened by these breath-taking buildings...

Countryside views

The great British countryside naturally makes for some amazing snaps that are sure to perk us up! These unreal fields of purple brighten up our instagram feed thanks to The Hop Shop at Castle Farm, which becomes filled with lavender in May. We can practically smell that calming scent just looking at it...

Beautiful Bays

For people in the know, this location is not one to be missed - If you want to feel the sand between your toes, the wind in your hair and with an ice cream in hand, and see Instagram perfect sights set out to explore the stunning East Kent coastline especially the Kingsgate Bay!

Pretty pastel streets

To quite literally brighten up your day, check out these gorgeous pastel buildings that adorn the streets of our lovely towns like Whitstable and Broadstairs! These pretty pastel shades always put a spring in our step and a smile on our face!

Starry nights at Dungeness

What a view! There's nothing like the stars that fill the sky at England's only desert beach, Dungeness. We're so lucky that some of the professionals go out and capture these magical skies for us - it saves us the late-night, and we still get all the magic!

The White Cliffs of Dover

The stunning world-famous symbol of Britain and natural wonder, The White Cliffs have greeted visitors arriving to the port of Dover for centuries. After Vera Lynn added to its legacy in World War II with her song, The White Cliffs of Dover, it became a symbol of hope and joy. It's easy to see why!

Sing it with us now: "There'll be bluebirds over the white cliffs of Dover – tomorrow, just you wait and see…"

If you've got a photo that will put a smile on everyone's face, make sure to tag #VisitKent so we can share it with our community! We can't wait to see it
