The Walpole Bay Hotel has 37 ensuite rooms all with stunning sea views, most with a Balcony and is situated at the top of Walpole Bay cliffs 3 minutes from the Beach and Listed Tidal Swimming Pool. The Edwardian Tea Rooms also incorporates the 1930s flower bedecked Veranda overlooking the sea. Walpole boasts a Unique Textile Art Gallery with over 350 works to enchant the gaze and a Museum with many hundreds of Historical Artefacts, either Walpole originals or donated by well-wishers to engage all ages both Visitors and Guests alike.

The Museum of Serendipity now encompasses the entire Hotel, inviting reminiscence. All five floors are efficiently served by its’ centre piece of the original 1927 Otis Trellis Gated Lift which glides from the Lower ground floor- with its’ 1920s sprung maple floored Ballroom, the Cameo Cocktail Bar with the Vinyl Lounge and a Pink Snooker Room up to the 3rd Floor where the extraordinary Napery Art Gallery begins.

The Museum and Gallery are open daily during the Season from 10am to 5pm

New for 2026... Cameo is a new Thursday night event, which offers a sophisticated, safe space to gather and meet for an enjoyable and sociable experience. You are invited to "come and meet everyone" between 7pm and 11pm - enjoy the 1920s cocktail bar, the vinyl lounge (with over 400+ records) and a snooker room with a full size pink table!  

Entry is Free for everyone. Donations towards upkeep are gratefully received

The Walpole Bay Hotel, Museum and Napery Gallery is so versatile, photogenic and atmospheric that it is an ideal Location for all Film work, Fashion and Photo shoots, Music Videos and is available all year around as a Location with props hire too, especially during the winter months with exclusive use. They can set dress from 1880s to modern day, Scottish tenement to Country House. Come and Visit – Everyone is welcome.
