February half term will be kicking off from 12th – 16th February, bringing with it a whole host of family friendly days out and special events. From castles to wildlife parks, our Kent attractions are throwing open the doors, ready to coax them away from their phones and screens, even if only for a few hours. Criss-crossing our fields and along our coasts, and most importantly linking up with our county’s attractions, are plenty of paths and walking routes which means you can go car-free and be care-free while at it - wherever you want to in Kent. In this piece we’ll give you some routes that are reachable by Southeastern train or bus and then from there just a short walk to our county’s top sights – including castles, coastlines, historic houses, taprooms and more, to make a day or even longer of it!

The end of the year is approaching, so it’s about time we look ahead to see what the next one has in store.

While it might not be the warmest in one sense, autumn certainly warms you up by being arguably the prettiest season of the year, and through the screens in our pocket, we can discover all of the beauty in Kent that the county offers ready for to plan our next adventure out...
