We welcome you all, young and old, to our little gem hidden in Blue Town, Sheerness. We are a community cinema, a music hall, an accredited museum and a vintage tea room right here on the Isle of Sheppey. We are also a theatre so if you’re looking for a show to see, then look no further.
Blue Town Heritage Centre is entirely run by volunteers. The Accredited museum has a number of displays showing the vast historical significance of the area. Come and learn about the maritime history of Blue Town, see a representation of Nelson's cabin and a full size canon. On our first floor, for example, you can learn about the birth of the Co-operative movement, started by Dockyard workers, and see how rich and poor children lived in Blue Town.
The venue is also available for hire for all life events. Our vintage cafe serves tea, coffee, a selection of home made cakes, sandwiches and scones. A delicious afternoon tea can be provided with 24 hours notice.
We also operate the Criterion Theatre and Community Cinema and have a vast array of shows and events to suit all tastes. We are open Wednesday to Friday 10am to 3pm, Saturdays 10am to 1pm. Our film showings are on Fridays at 1.30pm with additional films shown during August.
Extended opening times are available for parties - call 01795 662981 for more information
