We’ve got a lot of amazing places in our county, but we wondered what are some of the things that make you say “wow”?  We’re sure you can think of a lot of things, but to give you a little inspo, we’ve rounded up some places to visit that most definitely give wow-factor and of course make some great shots for the gram!

Historic Dockyard Chatham - Monsters of the Deep Exhibition

To kick things off, there’s a new exhibition at Historic Dockyard Cahtham called Monsters of the Deep… have you heard of it? You may have seen it over on our Twitter or Facebook page at the beginning of April when The Dockyard played the ultimate April Fools joke and tricked you all into thinking a monster was spotted in the River Medway! Anyway, although there was no monster in the river, mythical sea creatures have arrived at The Dockyard with their new exhibition that explores the centuries-old myths and legends of the deep sea creatures. Now this isn’t a joke…

Gusbourne Vineyard

Next on our wow-factor list is Gusbourne Vineyards and I think we can all agree you can capture some Insta-worthy shots here! Or, if you’re a newbie who has never been, this is your sign to see what it’s all about! And what better way to that than a Vineyard Tour where you’ll embark upon a guided walk in the vines and have a tutored wine tasting in the tasting room… Hold on a minute, we’ve just thought of another experience over at Gusbourne that would make for the perfect Instagrammable post. Did someone say Picnic for Two? Cheese, charcuterie, local fruit and homemade bread, accompanied by a bottle of Gusbourne Brut Reserve…#Delicious

Margate Caves

We’re going to step back in time and take you to the 18th century where The Margate Caves started welcoming visitors back in 1863. Originally dug as a chalk mine and then forgotten for over 100 years before being rediscovered and restored for personal recreation and then, eventually, as a tourist attraction. The Caves then closed in 2004 until a few years later when in 2011 the Friends of Margate Caves and The Margate Caves Community Education Trust (TMCCET) began a campaign to save the Caves and reopen them to the public which then came true in September 2019! The Caves now stand as an amazing attraction that certainly gives off that wow-factor!

Powell-Cotton Museum

For an amazing day out for the whole family, Powell-Cotton Museum at Quex Park certainly gives off ‘wow-factor’ and will have the family amazed by the incredible natural history displays which feature animals from the African and Asian continents. You’ll also get to experience fascinating displays of world-culture objects as well as local archaeology.

From the first look at this stunning place of worship you’ll be captivated by its stunning exterior, developed by The Gurdwara Committee and the wider community with a vision to reflect Indian cultural origins, and at the same time provide facilities suitable for Sikhs living in modern day Britain.
