Welcome to our first ever TikTok feature! As you may have heard, Visit Kent have joined the TikTok family and are thrilled to be sharing a variety of content across our page of Kent’s stunning landscape and heritage coastline, as well as inspiration on the best places to visit in Kent.

From looking back at our favourite moments of 2022 (we wonder if you can guess what trend that was?) to looking forward at how you can plan your next visit to the stunning Garden of England.

So, let’s take a look at what you can find on our page so far…

It's the most wonderful time of the year in Tunbridge Wells

If you didn’t catch this on your FYP around Christmas time, then unfortunately, you may have just missed out on a magical Christmas in Tunbridge Wells, but at least you’ll have this TikTok to watch over, and over, and over again. It might not be quite the same as being there, but Alex from the team sure did a good job of capturing the Christmas spirit of Tunbridge Wells. So, if you’re feeling a little disappointed that you didn’t get to experience the Pantiles Christmas Market or test your skating skills at SKATE, then we guess there’s always next year!

Come with us to the Christmas Lights Trail at Leeds Castle

Okay we’re sorry, we have just one more Christmas TikTok to run through then that’s it (until next year!) but trust us, this Christmas experience was a must! Don’t you just love scrolling through TikTok around Christmas time and watching the amazing videos of the twinkling lights dancing to the tune of a Christmas classic? In this case, we opted for the one and only, Mariah Carey (Michael Bublé came in close second) to sing along to our showcase of the Christmas Lights Trail at Leeds Castle. Which by the way had over 1 million lights and lasers! Anyway, if you didn’t catch our TiKTok, then we guess you’ll have to experience it this year!

Mark your diaries and book now.

And with that, the 2022 season, comes to an end

What has to be one of our absolute fave TikToks of 2022, and that is obviously because we look back on some of the long-lasting memories from last year. Showcasing Kent’s stunning views, wildlife parks, local attractions and so much more to a Coldplay tune was definitely a trend we had to jump on!

Come with us to Gusbourne Vineyards

We’d be lying if we said we haven’t been playing our TikTok video of our trip to Gusbourne Vineyard on repeat, and no that isn’t just because Harry Styles is singing in the background, although we wouldn’t blame you if that’s what you thought. Okay, we do love a bit of Harry, but the real reason is what the stunning clips captured, which showcase the wonderful experiences you can do at Gusbourne Vineyards. Wine, food, a vineyard tour and good vibes.

@visitkent Have you heard of this little gem?⛺️ 📍Caracol Camping, Tunbridge Wells #visittunbridgewells #visitkent #glamping #camping #ukstaycation #tunbridgewells ♬ son original - lucamrki

Have you heard of this hidden gem? - Caracol Camping

If we’re being honest, we kind of had the Caracol Camping blues after leaving this amazing glamping site! So making a TikTok definitely had to be done to remind us (and you!) of just how remarkable this place is! Located in Groombridge, Tunbridge Wells, Caracol Camping is home to 8 fully furnished bell tents placed in the heart of the Kent countryside, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Certainly a place we needed to tell our TikTok audience about!

Our Favourite Kent Beaches

We had the pleasure of sharing a TikTok curated by @girlaboutkent to our page, which took us through her favourite Kent beaches, and we can definitely agree that these parts of the stunning Kent coast are worth the visit! When the days get a little warmer, you know a day by the beach with a Mr Whippy and a chip butty from the local fish and chip shop is a must, especially when you’re enjoying it whilst watching the sunset at the perfect Instagrammable location. Which by the way can be seen in the winter months too!

A cosy date at The Beacon

We just loved this TikTok made by @southeastfoodies, who will have your stomach rumbling at the sight of their TikToks, so this is definitely one for the foodie lovers to follow! The Beacon in Tunbridge Wells makes for the perfect romantic snug when you’re looking for the ideal date night. So you’ve got the perfect setting *tick* and the perfect company *tick* and you may have caught a glimpse of those chunky chips, which in our case would seal the deal, complete the package and put the icing on the cake, are we on the same page? We think so, because who doesn’t love a good portion of chunky chips *even bigger tick*.

Empire of Light

To close our little TikTok round-up, we thought we’d end on a high note, and beam a bright light straight onto the Academy Award® winning director and writer Sam Mendes’ latest release, Empire of Light, starring Olivia Colman, Micheal Ward and Colin Firth. As you can see, @thanet_photos did a remarkable job of capturing the local screening in Thanet, which showcases some of the stunning film locations including The Carlton Cinema and Dreamland. It’s no surprise Margate was picked as the beautiful backdrop for this 1980s romantic drama.
