The home of entertainment in Thanet...

It all began with an idea…to re-establish the Granville Theatre as the home of entertainment for Thanet and East Kent.

The team are so proud of their journey to re-imagine this beautiful space and can't wait to welcome visitors through the doors of this historic venue, to discover a variety of entertainment and a varied programme of events.

As well as providing a new performance space for producers, performers and creatives to showcase their work, the team is committed to creating an inspiring and welcoming venue, and providing future generations of performers with a place to excel and grow.

The team welcome interest from a wide array of theatre and touring productions, comedians, musicians, bands, cinematographers and MORE… please drop them an email to discuss your requirements and for availability.

Box Office open Wednesday - Friday 9.30am-3pm

Coast Cafe and Bar are located in the foyer, and open Monday to Friday, 9am - 3pm, and weekends 9am - 4pm

Noa Rooftop Bar is also open for handcrafted pre-show or afternoon cocktails, and good vibes. Saturday 12pm-10pm and Sunday 12pm-6pm

Access Membership Scheme

This is a tiered process designed to ensure every guest receives the right support while staying fully in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Under this new scheme, paying visitors who require an essential carer to accompany them in order to visit the theatre are eligible to bring one essential carer at a discounted rate. To ensure this process is fair and consistent, they require written evidence dated within the last 12 months.

To ensure the best care possible, all carers must be aged 18 or older.
They also ask that Access customers bring a valid form of ID when attending any events using their access account so they can get you through the doors and into your seats as quickly as possible!

Applications can be made here

Accessibility

Wheelchair access/assistance

2 permanent wheelchair positions, each with a carer's seat, are available at ground level in the studio. Should these be full they also have further wheelchair spaces that can be used if requested.

Accessible toilets are located in the top lobby by the box office.

If you have any additional access needs, including assistance with evacuation, please contact the theatre team on hello@thegranvilletheatre.com

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome in the building but they kindly ask that you notify them prior to booking your seats if you wish to take your assistance dog into the auditorium during a performance so that they can adequately support this.
