Find the best Christmas presents for friends, family and loved ones, to sampling and enjoying some of Kent's best offerings, make the most of what Kent has to offer this festive season.

Rochester Christmas Market

Located in the beautiful gardens of Rochester Castle, the market is held over 3 consecutive weekends from Saturday the 26th of November until the 11th of December. The ideal place to look for the perfect gift from one of the many trade stalls. When you need a break, take in the views of the garden and castle as you try some of the best food and drink Kent has to offer from the many kiosks. 

The best part? It's just a 5 minute walk from Rochester train station.

Folkestone Harbour Arm Christmas Market

The Folkestone Harbour Arm Christmas Market was introduced in 2021 and was the largest Christmas Market Folkestone had seen. The market featured 20 huts which created a large Christmassy oasis packed with independent craft stools, food and drink and live entertainment.

The market returns on the 19th of November and is sure to be a hit again this winter.

Canterbury Christmas Market

Returning to Canterbury on the 11th of November, Canterbury Christmas Market is to not be missed. With live music, freshly produced food and drink, handmade gifts, Canterbury Christmas Market makes for both the perfect day out and perfect way to start Christmas. And all just a few minutes' stroll from Canterbury East and Canterbury West train stations.

Faversham Christmas Market

Faversham Christmas Market is set to return to Faversham Market Place, one of the oldest market places in both Kent and England. Returning on the 10th of December until the 12th, Faversham Christmas Market knows how much of a chore Christmas shopping can be, which is why they have provided an enjoyable experience with locally-made goods and crafts along with delicious food and drink while you take in the views of Faversham's Christmas lights and decorations.

Even better, its less than a 5 minute walk from the train station

Broadstairs Christmas Fayre & Light Switch-on

Enjoy a traditional Christmas Fayre and marvel at the spectacular lights at the Broadstairs Christmas Fayre & Light Switch-on. Children can visit Santa at his grotto, while adults can enjoy local food and drink accompanied by live music. The switch-on is on the 26th of November and is at Pierremont Park, a short 5 minute walk from Broadstairs train station.

Dover's Artisan Market

Ditch the car this December and visit the White Cliffs County by train. Dover's Artisan Market, located in the new-look Market Square, the Artisan Market showcases local food and crafts. Pick up some bargains and head to Deal’s Saturday Market with a range of stalls selling everything from homemade soaps to books, furniture and freshly made cakes. See a range of ceramics, fusion glass, mosaic and meet the artists at South East Artists' Christmas Art and Craft Fair.

 

Christmas at the Castle - Whitstable Castle

Visit the castle this Christmas in Whitstable. Just 15 minutes away from Whitstable train station, there's plenty to do. This traditional Christmas fair features stalls outside selling Christmas gifts, holly wreaths and more! The Tearooms will be serving seasonal lunches with mulled wine & mince pies. For younger families too, Santa's grotto will be here as well.

The fair will run on the 3rd and 4th of December.

Cliftonville Christmas Farmer Market

The award winning Cliftonville's Farmer Market is back for the holiday season. On the 18th of December, try some of Kent's best selling bread, cheese, honey, fruit, vegetables, wild game, fruit juices, fresh meat and much more!​ 

The farmers market is a 30 minute walk from Margate train station, perfect for those who want to stroll along Margate's picturesque seafront on a crisp winter's day! 

Leas Cliff Hall - Folkestone

An easy 10 minute walk from Folkestone Central Station, The Leas Cliff Hall will be hosting their Christmas Craft & Design Fayre. The Fayre will feature many local artisans and small independent businesses, meaning you'll have the opportunity to support local businesses from all over Kent. All of this will be located within the grand hall on the 20th of November, so why not visit and find some truly unique gifts for friends and family.

 

Christmas Craft Fair - Sheerness

Located at the Sheppey Little Theatre on Meyrick Road, the Christmas Craft Fair is home to stalls full of hand made goods, books, food and drink, tombola and more! So why not plan a visit to the island? The theatre is just an 8 minute walk away from the nearest train station!

Bearsted Christmas Market on the Green

Based only a 2 minute walk from Bearsted Train Station, the Bearsted Christmas Market will be returning on Sunday 4th December. Open from 2pm to 6pm, it will coincide with the turning on of the Christmas tree lights on the village green. There will be funfair rides for younger families, Father Christmas will be making an appearance (kindly supported by Maidstone Lions Club who will be raising funds to supply defibrillators to local schools), Kent Police Band will be playing, and there will be up to 70 stalls selling everything you need for Christmas. From gifts for all to local produce and decorations, as well as plenty of hot food and drinks to keep you warm!  All supported by Bearsted Parish Council to make the Bearsted local community proud.
