The Foundry is a unique craft brewery, distillery, restaurant and bar housed in a Victorian industrial foundry located just off the high street of historic Canterbury, where you can sample local ales, stock up on beverage-based gifts and enjoy a tour and tasting experience!

More than 16 ales, lagers and ciders are available on site, handcrafted in the brewery that is visible from the pub floor. Once the traditional beer casks are filled they are moved to the vaulted 18th century cellar below your feet to condition in the perfect environment before being served unfiltered and unpasteurised. There are also 9 spirits distilled on site, handcrafted from English Barley and all natural ingredients from scratch on site by Brewer, Distiller and co-owner Jon Mills.

With so much choice, it's a good idea to book a tour and tasting experience to learn about their unique brewing process, and sample their best beverages. Their signature products are all available to buy on site too, so it's a great place to stop off on a shopping trip.

Enjoy a hearty meal and a glass of wine from the extensive food menu locally sourced in our warm, relaxed and informal atmosphere. The former foundry produced cast metal items that went all over the world and you can still see the first lamp posts ever made in Canterbury and in cities as far away as New York and Port Elizabeth.
