The hugely popular Open-Top Bus 'route 69' will be returning to Thanet for 2025... with an exciting new route from 19th July, that will travel along Margate seafront. 

From the 19th July, it will operate every weekend, bank holiday and school holiday (Daily until 31st August) until Sunday 21st September running the new route as follows...  

The Route 69 bus stops at the following locations from 19th July :

1 - Minnis Bay
2 - Westbrook, opposite Norman Road
3 - Margate Train Station
4 - Cliftonville Esplanade
5 - St Peter's Railway Bridge
6 - Broadstairs, Victoria Parade
7 - Ramsgate Harbour
8 - Ramsgate West Cliff, Boating Pool
9 - Cliffs End, Viking Ship

* Please note - There are more stops, with a less coastal route, when travelling in the other direction (from Cliffs End to Minnis Bay), so please refer to the Stagecoach 69 bus timetable here for full route information when planning your schedule * 

Take in the coastal views with some fresh sea air!

Operating to September

  • The Weekend of 12th & 13th July is the last Ramsgate to Broadstairs service then
  • From the Weekend of 19th & 20th July the new Ramsgate to Minnis Bay service is in operation
  • This runs Daily from 26th July to 31st August then
  • Every Weekend to 21st September­­­­

Tickets can be bought from the driver, or Stagecoach Bus App.

Tickets start at £3 for an adult single and various Open Top Dayrider tickets are available for return journeys, families and groups. For full fare info, please click here
