After months of being inside, the thought of a glamping trip in the countryside is pure bliss. Set within the grounds of Quex Park, Quex Livery Glamping offers the chance to stay in a bell tent with your very own firepit, comfy bedding, electricity and even a choice of homemade cake. Set in 25 acres of countryside, we wouldn’t blame you if you chose not to leave, but The Isle of Thanet’s blue-flag awarded beaches are just up the road for the perfect seaside day out.
Just outside of Ramsgate, The Chapel in Manston Village is the ultimate luxury retreat this summer. Resting in Broadstairs, Dickens’ favourite seaside setting, Fagin’s Den honours the author and one of his most iconic works. The first short break in over a year has got to be pretty spectacular, so what could be more spectacular than staying in the grounds of lovely Leeds Castle? Whether you choose the spacious Keeper’s House with its beams, inglenook, aga and exposed brickwork or the wisteria-covered Battel Hall’s sumptuous drawing rooms and oak-panelled dining room (if ever there was an excuse to dress for dinner, this is it), bookings before the end of June will receive a lower occupancy discount, so you and your family can enjoy all that space at a lower rate. But if you fancy a cosy hideaway for two, it’s got to be Weir Cottage with its exposed beams, king-sized bed and firepit. And, because we know we’re not the only ones who gained a four-legged friend this year, we’re pleased to say it’s dog-friendly too.

What’s more, this cute cottage sits on a shingle road which leads you straight onto the beach, so all you need to do is keep your fingers crossed for good swimming weather! Oh, and did we mention, this little retreat is also fido-friendly so you won’t need to worry about those puppy-dog eyes when you go away.
