Mat Pringle DJ brings his ‘wyrd folk’ vinyl set to Dane John Gardens.
Mat Pringle is a Kent-based Illustrator, Printmaker and Record Nerd. His artwork draws primarily from folklore and folk music. He works predominantly in linocut printmaking, contrasting fine detailed linework with simple but expressive colour palettes. Mat is currently writing and illustrating a book about traditional folk songs in the British Isles called 'Singing Up the Sun'.
Mat will perform in the bandstand at Folk Lore Kent’s Mayhem Fair in Dane John Gardens. Come and listen as he spins warm-up tunes ahead of the midday procession, and see out the day dancing to his closing set at 6pm.
The event is part of Canterbury Unlocked, a city-wide celebration.
