Join author John Condon and become dragons in this fun rhyming adventure!
Storytime, followed by some fun dragon crafts. Recommended age 2+ John's books will be available to purchase and you will be able to get them signed by the author at the end of the event. Tickets for this event are charged on a pay-as-you-feel basis, starting at £4 per child and on a completely pay-as-you-feel basis for adults, but please note that each person attending will need a ticket. All money from ticket sales supports the running, continuation and expansion of Canterbury Children's Literature Festival and our year round outreach work within the local community.
About the Author John is a multi award-winning picture book author whose work has captured the hearts of young readers across Europe. His books have won the Children's Jury Award (Belgium), the Leipzig Reading Compass (Germany), and Les Incorruptibles (France). His books have been translated into more than a dozen languages. His published works include We Are Dragons (HarperCollins), The Pirates Are Coming (Nosy Crow), The Best Bear Tracker (Templar), and The Wondrous Dinosaurium (Maverick Arts). His NEW picture book, We Are Fairies, will be published on 13th of August 2026 (HarperCollins). He lives with his family in sunny Kent and enjoys weekend walks on the beach. Well, that's what he tells people. In reality he loves nothing more than to sit in a comfy armchair, with a fresh cup of tea, dreaming up new story ideas. Very occasionally he will go for a walk on the beach but only after putting up a good fight.
