The Meopham Windmill

5th April - 27th September 2026

This beautiful windmill is set back off the road surrounded by village pubs and restaurants that look out over to a quintessential cricket green where matches are played most weekends during the season.

The volunteers look forward to welcoming you for a rare and interesting experience. How often do we get to go up inside a windmill?

Free Guided Tour of the Windmill - no need to book but you may have a brief wait for your turn.

The windmill’s sweeps do not turn during visiting times for visitor safety.
The windmill may close during adverse weather conditions.
Please check weather conditions in Meopham before starting your journey.

Travel and Parking
Public transport to the village is very limited; please research your travel arrangements.

Advice
Please wear sturdy footwear such as trainers and avoid clothing that might trip you as you go up and down the mill.

Access
Visitors who use wheelchairs or have limited mobility can access the ground level Base room where there is a showcase presentation and several mill related artefacts on display.

Children
Children can go up into the windmill if they are able to manage steep steps on their own. Small children may only go up when an adult is happy to carry them safely.

Pets
Pets are not allowed inside the mill but well behaved pets on short leads are welcome in the grounds.
