The Kings of Doggerland: A Solo Exhibition by Rufus Filmer

3rd April - 29th April 2026

Meet the artist and enjoy a glass of bubbles as one of the first to see the collection

The Kings of Doggerland: A Solo Exhibition by Rufus Filmer Step into a world of evocative beauty this Easter at Natasha Pearl Gallery. We are proud to present "The Kings of Doggerland", a powerful new solo exhibition by acclaimed artist Rufus Filmer.

Taking its title from the prehistoric landmass that once connected Britain to Europe before vanishing beneath the North Sea, this exhibition explores the delicate boundary between solidity and fragility.

Filmer’s large-scale oil paintings discover forms through intuitive drawing, presenting animals—from haunting Borzois to majestic horses—as companions, prophets, or oblivious rulers of a world already slipping away. Whether you are a seasoned collector or simply looking for a cultural escape, these fragments of myth and survival offer a profound viewing experience.

Join us for the Opening Soirée: Celebrate the launch on Good Friday, 3rd April (5:30 PM – 7:30 PM).

The Destination Experience: Located at the beautiful Chalkpit Farm in Bekesbourne, just 10 minutes from Canterbury city centre, a visit to the gallery is the perfect rural retreat.

🚗 Free Parking: Stress-free arrival directly outside the gallery.

☕ Mama Feelgoods Café: Enjoy award-winning coffee and cake next door.
