The Kingdom of Tigers Musical Suitcase Adventure! with Felicity Yeoh

11th July 2026

Join singing storyteller Felicity Yeoh for a musical suitcase production of THE KINGDOM OF TIGERS

A heartwarming new picture book about the environment, family and the search for a home, set in the Malaysian rainforest and inspired by UN Goodwill Ambassador and actress Michelle Yeoh.

Tiger cub Hari lives in the jungle. As deforestation threatens his home and separates him from his mother, Hari must brave the wild with the friends he meets along the way, to find his mother and the sanctuary of his dreams. Featuring songs inspired by favourite reads such as THE TIGER WHO CAME TO TEA and EACH PEACH PEAR PLUM.

Recommended for all ages. Tickets for this event are charged on a pay-as-you-feel basis, starting at £2 per child and on a completely pay-as-you-feel basis for adults, but please note that each person attending will need a ticket. All money from ticket sales supports the running, continuation and expansion of Canterbury Children's Literature Festival and our year round outreach work within the local community. 'Ticket and book' option will include a copy of The Kingdom of Tigers by Felicity Yeoh, illustrated by Megan Snyders.

About the Author Felicity Yeoh is an award-winning writer and poet who loves reading out loud, singing songs and all things make-believe. She has acted in the Cambridge Footlights, volunteered as a classroom reader and been a Foyle Young Poet of the Year, FAB Prize and Penguin WriteNow shortlistee. Nowadays she works in the City, teaches Sunday school, makes up stories and knits blankets for her children, nephews, nieces and nine godchildren.
