Often described as a "hidden gem", The Mount vineyard is nestled in the picturesque village of Shoreham, just a few miles North of Sevenoaks. A boutique vineyard featuring 10 acres of vines within its 28 acre estate, it produces a number of award winning still and sparkling wines including The Kent Wine of the Year 2017!
The vineyard welcomes guests all year round for wine tasting as well as wines by the glass or bottle - and being very conveniently located just a stone's throw from Shoreham village station (direct from both London and Sevenoaks) they encourage travel by train to be able to fully enjoy their range of bottles! Tours are also available from late May through until harvest time in late September where balmy summer afternoons can be spent relaxing in lush surroundings. The vineyard welcomes volunteers for harvest season which is certainly an activity to tick off your bucket list and includes an afternoon of feasting to celebrate the hard work! With their all-weather facilities guests can indeed enjoy the beautiful courtyard all year round and sample the wines made from the vines surrounding them. The estate also features a luxury self-catering property sleeping 10 guests should you be looking for a venue for a special occasion.
Well behaved dogs are welcome so with all the wonderful walks surrounding the village of Shoreham this could also be a fantastic place to pop into although you will no doubt end up staying longer than for just a quick drink!
