Situated along a winding lane, Old Barn Cottage, originally a cattle barn, was initially converted into farm workers cottages, circa 1829. It was kept as such up until the 1970's when the original windows were replaced but not much else. It is constructed of stone with leaded windows and old Kent peg tiles to the roof. The little brook which runs alongside to the front of the cottage adds charm and age to the hamlet and is often where the ducks with their ducklings play in the summer months.

Sympathetically refurbished in 2008 this light and airy cottage still contains the original oak beams and open fireplace (now housing a cosy log burner). The winding stairway takes you up to the first floor. Beautifully furnished and decorated, this charming cottage is ideal for couples. You may hear the horses or ducks from the nearby pond but not much else. Oh, and of course the odd tractor going by.
