Seabrook Valley

The Seabook Valley leads from the sea up to Cheriton and is brimming full of colour with wild flowers, butterflies and birds, all waiting to be discovered. There is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (the Seabrook Stream ) rich in wildlife of wet woodlands, and the County Wildlife Site of Paraker Wood, an ancient woodland with a colourful display of bluebells and other woodland wild flowers in spring. A Pocket Park has been created from the part of Paraker Wood, owned by Folkestone & Hythe District Council. The Pocket Park can be accessed from Spring Lane, off Horn Street. A network of paths is waiting to be explored, including the Elham Valley Way and two circular walks starting from the car park near the Royal Military Canal at Seabrook.
