Then, keep the fun going with Friday Night Live on 30 May, featuring the Miles Cookman Band bringing 70s blues rock to life from 6pm. VE Day 80: Children's Trail at Chartwell

Step back in time this May and celebrate 80 years since VE Day with a special children’s trail at Chartwell, the former home of Sir Winston Churchill. Running all month long, young explorers can discover what life was like during the war, learn about the historic VE Day celebrations, and enjoy hands-on activities around the garden.
The trail costs £3 per child, which includes a small prize, and standard admission applies. It’s a brilliant mix of fun and history, perfect for families looking to add a bit of learning to their half-term adventures!

A packed week in The Isle of Thanet
Thanet is buzzing with exciting events this May half term, perfect for families who love a mix of adventure, creativity, and fun in the sun. From Sunday 25th to Wednesday 28th May, The Wonderworks in Margate is hosting thrilling Scalextric Racing-an exciting experience for families to race against each other on their own mini tracks.
Then, on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th, head to the beach for the Great Eggcase and Scavenger Hunt at Margate Main Sands and Viking Bay, where kids can learn all about marine life while searching for treasures along the shore.
Finally, on Thursday 29th May, Ramsgate Main Sands will host another Great Eggcase and Scavenger Hunt, making it a fantastic way to explore the local coastline while having fun and discovering new things along the way.

Spring Garden Trail and Adventure
Step into a springtime adventure at Penshurst Place this May half term! Explore the beautiful gardens and follow the journey of Amber the Fox and her new cubs in a delightful new Garden Trail. Kids will love searching for treats around the gardens to thank Amber for all she’s done.
On the 25th and 26th May, Penshurst Place also welcomes the bushcraft experts at Camp Wilderness, who will be hosting exciting activities like axe-throwing, archery, and s’mores-making.
