Call the Midwife Official Location Tour

1st March - 31st October 2025

Immerse yourself in the experience with a Call the Midwife Official Location Tour

If you’re a fan of the popular series and have been curious about the filming locations for Call the Midwife, immerse yourself in the experience with a Call the Midwife Official Location Tour.

In collaboration with the acclaimed television production company, Neal Street Productions, the Call The Midwife Official Location Tour is a one-of-a-kind experience for fans of the series.

Although the series is set in the East End of London, many outdoor scenes for the BBC show are actually filmed at The Historic Dockyard Chatham in Kent. Follow in the footsteps of Nurse Trixie Franklin, Sister Julienne, and Dr Turner as you delve into the heart of the story.

Your very own costumed Midwife will guide you through the Historic Dockyard, equipped with a photo book and captivating stories about their ‘sisters’, before giving you the opportunity to explore the sets, costumes, and props in our brand-new, exclusive gallery.

You’ll witness how Neal Street Productions transforms the historic Chatham dockyard, which dates back 400 years, into the vibrant streets of East London. Throughout the tour, you'll recognise the cobbled paths and buildings of ‘Poplar’, alongside iconic spots like the Grosvenor Hotel and ‘Chummy’s Hill’, where Nurse Noakes famously learned to ride her bike.
