The Conqueror

The Conqueror Alehouse , situated in Grange Road, Ramsgate, is probably the smallest Free House in Thanet and offers a fine selection of mainly local, traditionally produced ales and ciders. Named after a handsome two-funneled paddle steamer which operated excursions from Ramsgate to France around the beginning of the twentieth century, the Conqueror offers a quiet, music and TV free atmosphere in which to enjoy a pint or two of real ale. Old photos of the ship and its crew adorn the walls and beer and cider is served straight from the barrel. Take-away containers are available for those who want to enjoy their ale at home and drivers are catered for with delicious apple juice from the nearby Broomfield Orchard. *Good Beer Guide 2020 and 2026
