Our audiences prefer up-market films and high profile blockbusters. Although the auditorium is in mock tudor style, the cinema has digital projection and Dolby 5.1 surround sound. We do not offer advance booking due to our large seating capacity. Tickets are currently GBP5 per person for most performances. Hot and cold drinks together with a choice of confectionery are available to purchase. Please check daily performance times as these may vary and change at short notice. The Royal is proud to boast that it has it's own Film Society showing artier fayre and foreign language films, they normally meet at The Royal twice a month and their listings can be found on our website. Membership to the society is currently GBP4 per year, although we encourage membership, you can come along as normal.
