Ramsgate Main Sands

Ramsgate Main Sands are a popular stretch of long sandy beach, next to the Uk's only Royal Harbour and Marina. There are children's amusements, nearby arcades, and restaurants offering al fresco dining, as well as kiosks serving hot and cold food & drinks, deck chair and lounger hire, and toilets. Combined Blue Flag and Seaside Award 2026 Designated for bathing 2026 Seasonal Lifeguards: 23 May - 17 July (Weekends and Bank holidays only), 18 July - 6 September (7 days a week service) Toilets Disabled Toilets Beach Shower Disabled Access to the beach Deckchair Hire Dog Ban in place at all times between 1st May and 30th September. Parking BBQs allowed only after 6pm . Please take rubbish & coals, etc away, and ensure they are fully extinguished Be Beach Safe . This means checking the weather and the tides , keeping an eye on your family, and not using inflatables. In an emergency, call 999 for the Coastguard.
