DISCOVERY, NOSTALGIA AND GAMES PLAY AT THE MICRO MUSEUM

A short walk from Ramsgate’s historic Royal harbour, up the High Street towards St. George’s Church on Church Hill, will take visitors to Kent’s only Computer Museum.

Providing fun for all ages, whatever the weather,  and now in its fourth season.  The Micro Museum is dedicated to the history of computing and how the digital world began.  It is the showcase for a unique private collection of vintage home computers, games, toys and more, gathered together by the owners.  Visitors will find displays of devices from the early 20th to the 21st centuries along with history beginning with the time when man found a way to count.

You can:

DISCOVER the history of computing and the ideas and the stories of the inventors of the digital age.  Do the history quiz as a fun way to learn interesting facts and earn a Museum certificate by finding all the right answers.  Younger visitors are not left out and can do a toy hunt to earn their own mini certificate.

Indulge in some NOSTALGIA and see if you can find your first computer among the many exhibits on display.

PLAY on classic games – up to 3 hours  included in the admission price.

And for the 2017 season there will be a themed games event every month.

The Micro Museum is winner of the Pride in Thanet Tourism Award 2015 and Highly Commended Certificate 2016 and Trip Advisor Certificates of Excellence 2016 and 2017.
