Royal Tunbridge Wells Food Month

This September, Royal Tunbridge Wells celebrates our abundant epicurean offering. In the space of four weeks, the town is hosting two Food Festivals, three markets, a beer weekend and classic meals on the buffet car in a heritage steam railway at Spa Valley Railway. Restaurants, pubs and cafés are offering promotions and special menus too.

Visitors can wander through town and select a new favourite gin from more than 120 types at Chapel Place bar near The Pantiles, dine at Thackeray’s (where the author William Makepeace Thackeray stayed), savour the game at The Warren which comes from their private estate in the borough, delight in mouth-watering fish dishes at Sankey’s or feast on afternoon tea at Hatton’s in The Pantiles.

At the other end of town in Camden Road, taste innovative British dishes at Vittle and Swig and The Bicycle Bakery, enjoy authentic Italian food at the family run restaurant Il Vesuvio or experience superb vegan dishes at Plant Base.
We want food and drink lovers to visit our beautiful town, try new taste sensations and relish every mouthful!

The highlights are :
