Kent Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre & Nature Park
The headquarters of Kent Wildlife Trust based in an historic Georgian barn and farmhouse set in a secluded nature park representing Kentish habitats in miniature. Includes a large pond, wildflower meadow, chalk bank, hedges, scrub, wildlife-friendly gardens and shingle beach.
There are numerous mini beast homes, bird watching hide, composting displays, 'green' picnic shelter and children's play area. Inside the barn are interactive displays on wildlife conservation, a well stocked gift shop and an extensive range of maps and books on nature and local history.
Family-friendly events are held throughout the year particularly during the school holidays.
