10am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm
In this two hour workshop led by textile artist Yemi Awosile, unpick and repurpose fabric and materials to design a new small scale wall hanging. Explore colour and composition using experimental stitch and print.
The price per person includes all equipment, materials and light refreshments.
About Yemi Awosile:
Yemi is a textiles artist and designer. Her work is influenced by narratives and ideas around community. Over the last few years she has been working with art education programmes such as Open School East (OSE) in Margate. She recently collaborated with OSE on a series of community arts projects supported by Margate NOW. Her work currently explores contemporary material culture from West and Southern Africa
