Rudimental (Sound System)
10th July 2019
We are so pleased to welcome Rudimental to the 2019 Castle Concerts.
Having already released two huge singles last year from their new album – the smash hit UK number one These Days ft. Jess Glynne, Macklemore & Dan Caplen, the biggest-selling record of 2018 in the UK and Let Me Live produced with Major Lazer, featuring Anne Marie and Mr. Eazi – their third album Toast To Our Differences is an eclectic mix of upbeat party anthems and boasts an extraordinary list of collaborators.
Rudimental have sold over 20 million singles and over 2 million albums – extraordinary numbers for a band who have consistently moulded new and inventive sounds to push the boundaries of conventional pop music.
Rudimental will be performing a DJ set with live vocals and brass with:
- Mark Crown playing the trumpet
- Taurean Antonie Chagar playing the saxophone
- Morgan Connie Smith and Bridget Amofah on vocals
Example isn’t reinventing himself, he’s going back to what he’s about.
“I don’t care about playing the game anymore – I just want to have fun with my music again!”
Example’s career spans over a decade and needs little introduction. With three top 10 albums (including the Platinum selling number 1 Playing In The Shadows), ten singles that have made the top 10, arena tours and festival headline slots in over 60 countries.
Mahalia enjoyed an incredible 2018, quickly becoming one of the year’s most exciting UK female artists. She won YouTube’s inaugural One To Watch list and soon after became the only musician to be tipped for both BRIT’s Critics Choice Award and the BBC Sound Poll shortlist.
After selling out London’s prestigious O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in April, Mahalia dropped neo-soul ballad Grateful. She is currently on tour in the US with Ella Mai whilst putting the final touches on her upcoming debut album out later this year.
“Is there a voice more soothing than Mahalia’s? Taking us under her spell in this smooth and sultry bop, the singer is asking for total honesty in this track. Putting that feeling of total infatuation into words, the singer has captured something special, and no one else can touch it.” - MTV on Grateful
