Pugin Week

The annual festival of Augustus Pugin – the designer of the Houses of Parliament – takes place in Ramsgate from 14th September until 21st September.

Pugin Week celebrates the life and legacy of Augustus Pugin – the Ramsgate resident who designed Big Ben and led the worldwide Gothic Revival. He was one of the most influential designers and architects Britain has produced, and who made his home in Ramsgate. He lived 1812-1852, and his impact is still being felt today
