Lullingstone is transformed into a magical medieval village on the late May Bank Holiday! Step back in time to experience the authentic sights and sounds with 'living history' displays (including live firing of cannons and mock battles!), character dress, campfires, tents and medieval weapons, courtesy of the remarkable Woodvilles medieval re-enactment group. Everyone can get involved with the archery sessions – fun for all the family!
Set within 120 acres of beautiful Kent countryside, Lullingstone Castle is one of England’s oldest family estates, dating back to the time of Domesday. An historic family mansion frequented by Henry VIII and Queen Anne. It is also home to the UK’s first ever ‘World Garden of Plants’ the vision of modern-day plant hunter Tom Hart Dyke. After whiling a few hours away , visitors can enjoy a light bite in the castle marquee with some locally Kent sourced produce or simply enjoy a picnic by the lake.
