KM Big Bike Ride

Join hundreds of cyclists putting pedal to the metal for charity or for fun at the KM Big Bike Ride on Sunday, April 28.

Cyclists will tackle one of two circular routes: a 50K or 100K version, both starting from Betteshanger Park. The routes take riders through the east Kent countryside around Dover, Deal, and Sandwich, and in the case of the longer route, along the Thanet coast too.

Participants can ride for pleasure or to raise sponsorship money for any good cause of their choice. Individuals raising £200 or more will go into a prize draw to win a pair of Eurostar tickets.

Nominated charities will receive 70% of sponsorship with the remainder going to the child literacy and road safety work of the KM Charity Team, which is organising the event.

Electronic chip timing will capture the results of the ride and a sportive photograph will be taken of each cyclist in action.

There will be mid-ride refreshments provided for all riders along with goody bags and medals at the finish line. Hot and cold food and drink will be available for purchase at the venue.

Check-in time is from 8am to 10am - with the majority of riders setting off at 9am - and cyclists aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Booking price is £30 per person but there is a £5 discount when using the code EK19.
