Kent Real Ale Trains at the Spa Valley Railway

15th February - 20th September 2025

Kent Real Ale Trains Launch at the Spa Valley Railway Hop on board the first Kent Real Ale Train of 2025 which leaves Tunbridge Wells this weekend (15 February 2025) at 6pm and enjoy a pint or two whilst travelling through the High Weald!

These popular events on the Spa Valley Railway are a fun way to enjoy time with friends and/or family while sipping some local real ales! The first pint is also included in the ticket price which is £15 and includes train travel. The bar carriage will have a selection of ales from local breweries and ciders from across Kent and the surrounding counties; regular breweries include Westerham, Harvey's, Pig & Porter.

Special beers selected from other parts of the United Kingdom, many of which are not usually seen in Kent, will also be available. The bar carriage will also have a selection of hot beverages, soft drinks and snacks to purchase during the journey. Tunbridge Wells West station is located just a pleasant 15-minute walk from the mainline station on the line between Tonbridge & Hastings. With a great selection of pubs between the mainline and the Spa Valley Railway, passengers can enjoy a pre-event drink on their way to the event.

Arriving by train also means you can leave the car at home. On February 15th the Real Ales (Cask) will be:

Westerham Audit Ale – 6.2% and Westerham 500 Miles – 3.6%

Booking is also now open to take the Kent Real Ale Trains on 13 & 14 June, 5 July, 1 & 2 August & 20 September 2025. The Kent Real Ale Trains are for passengers who are over 18 and will last approx two and a half hours.
