Cobbs Coopers Exhibition

Taking place in Cells 1, 3 and Entry Hall

Cobbs Brewery was opened in 1761 and closed in 1968 when it was sold to Whitbread.

In its heyday the brewery not only produced beer but also the barrels in which it was stored and transported.

The construction of the barrels was the job of the coopers and a display of coopers tools and some archive photos will be on display
