Astronomy Evening at Bore Place

The Moon, Saturn and Jupiter... Important Info Please dress for the weather. It is advised that you wear boots in case the ground is muddy! Suitable for children aged 5 and up. Children must be accompanied. Join the Edenbridge and District Astronomers for an evening looking at the night sky. Fingers crossed for a clear night so you can look through powerful telescopes to seek out the Moon, Saturn and Jupiter. The team will talk you through the observations and give hints and tips about other key astronomical objects or events you can look out for over the coming months. The team will be on hand to answer questions and help you find out how to get into astronomy at home. If cloud, rain or wind prevents practical observation, there will be interesting demos, activities and talks. Little ones will be occupied by an astronomy themed craft table and books for all ages will be available to browse and buy. Suitable for all levels, no previous experience necessary. Tea, coffee and squash will be provided. Adult tickets: £8.00 Child tickets: £6.00 . Ample car parking on site. The nearest mainline stations are Sevenoaks or Tonbridge, both about 6 miles away. Edenbridge and Penshurst are also nearby.
