Coach Parking

Canterbury

Canterbury's new coach park at St John's has opened for business. The coach park has space for up to 45 coaches and there is a new visitor centre stacked full of information leaflets about the whole district. The building also has public toilets and refreshment machines.

Dover

Coach parking in Dover is located at Castle Hill Coach Park, Maison Dieu car park and on the seafront.

Faversham

There are two dedicated free spaces in the Central Car Park, reached from the A2 via Ospringe Road, South Road and Leslie Smith Drive.  There are also dedicated spaces in Upper Brents, opposite the disused Brents Church reached from the A2 via Ospringe Road, South Road, North Lane, and the Creek Bridge.

Herne Bay

There is a coach dropping off bay in Central Parade, opposite the Pier. Coaches may be parked in William Street car park.

Rochester

Just 300 yards from the coach drop-off point (Visitor Information Centre), the award winning coach park at Acorn Wharf offers free secure parking for coaches, with on-site toilets.

Access to the coach park is possible at any time by remote controlled bollards that are operated via the council's CCTV system when an attendant is not on duty.

Other facilities for coaches that are available at the coach park include:

  • a purpose-built toilet drop,
  • coach washing facility,
  • disposal point,
  • fully-furnished drivers rest room, with comfortable seating, TV, microwave and refreshment facilities, all free of charge (when an attendant is on duty).

Royal Tunbridge Wells

Free coach parking is available in Linden Park Road near the Pantiles, open 9am - 6pm. Limited coach spaces are also available along London Rd.

Whitstable

The coach drop-off and pick-up point is situated in the layby outside St Alphege School in Oxford Street, close to Whitstable Information Centre and Whitstable Museum.

Directional signing takes coaches along Cromwell Road, Harbour Street, High Street and Oxford Street to the dropping off point. From there it continues along Oxford Street, into Cromwell Road (again), Harbour Street and then on to the Tankerton Road Car Park.

Coaches should park in Tankerton Road Car Park until returning to the same lay by in Oxford Street at a pre-arranged time to pick up passengers.
