Kent Film Office
Kent is a rich and vibrant filming location that encompasses much more than it's traditional Garden of England reputation.
Kent has traditionally been made famous by the drama series like The Darling Buds of May; Michael Powell's Canterbury Tales; Pride and Prejudice; Bleak House; Miss Marple; Poirot to name but a few, however, there are many other sides to this diverse county.
Kent Locations Taster
Before you is a long and varied coastline sweeping down to the majestic white cliffs of Dover with sandy beaches and hidden coves. Further out are large shingle banks leading to quaint harbours juxtaposed with industrial ports.
Heading inland you'll reach bleak salt marshes and undulating hills on your way to a patchwork of modern towns, industrial complexes, woodland, parkland and farmland.
The buildings you see along the way could inspire anyone and range from large imposing cathedrals, castles and modern shopping centres to village churches and traditional high streets. There are houses of all kinds from manor estates to state of the art apartments. All of this and more is waiting to be brought to both the large and small screen.
