See the kids have wide-eyed fun while they learn, coming face to face with rare and endangered species at Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks, sister locations at Bekesbourne and Lympne. Port Lympne have already seen a new face appear this year. As 19 year old Bamboo gave birth to a female baby Debrazza monkey. Unfortunately due to birthing difficulties the new born has to be hand reared by head keeper Simon Jeffery and he is hopeful that she will be able to join her parents and siblings in a few months time.
Discover the 28 acres of fun for all ages from children activities to old age farming at the Kent Life. Meet the new members of their farmyard this spring there will be; donkey fowl, red Sussex calves, lambs and Easter chicks.
Set in 400 acres of unspoilt Kent countryside, the Hop Farm Family Park welcomes the arrival of Easter chicks and lambs this spring. Daily encounters are held with llamas, reindeer, sheep and ducks. Kids can also burn off energy in the new Great Goblin Hunt attraction transports children to a fantasy world in a quest to find mischievous Goblins hidden within the five differently themed zones.
Down on the farm - Farming World at Faversham, to be exact - you can meet friendly farm animals, including piglets, lambs and baby rabbits, magnificent Shire horses and birds of prey, then relax while the youngsters let off steam in adventure playgrounds.
The Rare Breeds Farm Park, Woodchurch, also combines animal encounters, such as feeding the newborn lambs and piglets, with energy-sapping activities, including aerial runways and a play fort.
Come nose to nose with British wildlife at Wildwood, near Herne Bay. Here you can you see all kinds of animals that used to roam our lands and those that are increasingly rare, from wolves to water voles. Wildwood have already had a wild boar piglet, and a Konik Foal. During the rest of the year Wildwood will see baby fallow deer, Egrets, Ducklings, Red squirrels, water voles, dormice, adders, lizards, harvest mice and various other rodents.
