Golf in Kent

Kent has been the home of some of the most famous moments in golfing history, with the Open Championship coming to these shores 17 times already. In 2008 and 2009 the London Golf Club hosted the European Open Golf Championship while the world's oldest major golf event, the British Open, returned to Royal St Georges in Sandwich in 2011.

Discover Kent by bike

Kent is renowned for its hop fields, orchards and distinctive oast houses, and there is no better way to explore the delights of the county than by bicycle. Kent is steeped in history and its cycle routes take you past castles, ancient churches, and historic houses, as well as many splendid and celebrated gardens.

Kent's Olympic Connections

Over 40 Olympians past and present have lived, trained or worked here and the county holds many top class facilities used as training camps for the 2012 London Games. Try your hand at watersports, cycling and all sorts of indoor and outdoor fun, and see the places in the footsteps of world-beating medal winners.
