The range of accommodation in Kent is superb. Fabulous places to stay range from de-lux country houses, via sleek spas to cliff-top campsites and cheery seaside B&Bs. Bed down in a tipi on the famous White Cliffs, a rustic oast house or the tower room of a castle, the choice is yours. .

Traveling to Kent is simple; London is just 30-40 minutes away by train or car. The continent is close too.  On ferries to France, or taking the tunnel, however you want to make your Channel crossing, it's easy to and from Kent. Drive onto the Eurotunnel le Shuttle in Calais and be in Folkestone in 35 minutes. On the Channel ferries, DFDS Seaways and P&O Ferries link Dover with Calais and Dunkerque.

Excellent roads, efficient rail services operated by Southeastern and bus routes with Arriva and Stagecoach mean travelling around Kent is easy too, while for great on-the-ground advice try Kent's helpful Visitor Information Centres, where staff happily provide top tips and town and city maps
