What are Kent Greeters?
Kent Greeters are volunteer residents who want to share the area they love with visitors to the county.
Take advantage of their knowledge and passion and discover hidden, unusual places off the tourist trail.
Have a special interest? We can match you with a Kent volunteer who shares that interest, whether you want to learn more about local history, culture, architecture, art or shopping.
Your greeter will provide a 1 to 4 hour visit of your chosen area for a maximum of six people. They can answer any questions you may have on the area and will always meet you regardless of the weather.
• Requests for a visit should be made at 7 working days before your arrival. We do not suggest an appointment on your day of arrival.
• No more than 6 people per group and at least one person must be over age 18.
• Only one greeter request can be made during your stay.
• All greeters and visitors travel on foot or on public transport.
• Greeters are subject to availability.
• We can make arrangements for visitors with disabilities.
• Visits must start between 9am and 3pm and last for 1 to 4 hours.
• You will be asked to complete a short feedback form after your greet.
Come to Kent, get out & about with a local and feel truly welcome.
