Parks and Open Spaces

Kent has thousands of acres of country parks for you to explore. From woodlands to valleys and meadows to riverbanks, there's a beautiful array of sites waiting to inspire you.
Shorne Woods Country Park
This park offers something for everyone. You can enjoy delicious food and drink at the award-winning visitor centre. A new adventure play area and easy access trails are now open in the park and allow visitors to explore extended parts of the woodlands. The park is an excellent venue for a business meeting, a workshop, training, a club meeting or a birthday party.
Lullingstone Country Park
Located within the North Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and once a medieval deer park and the estate of Lullingstone Castle, this historic park now provides 460 acres of public open space. The River Darent flows through the park, giving visitors plenty of opportunity to spot kingfishers, herons, grass snakes and numerous damselflies and dragonflies. Within Lullingstone Country Park is a visitor centre with café, shop and classroom facilities.

Trosley Country Park
An ideal centre for walking, relaxing or learning about nature, the park offers wonderful panoramic views across the Weald, and the woodland is rich in wildlife. The North Downs Way passes through the park, offering potential for long distance walking. There is also an easy access route through the woodland and a more adventurous path on the steep grassland. For those looking for even more challenging exercise, a trim trail has been built within the park, which includes a wide range of outdoor gym equipment to work out the whole of your body. The Trosley Tea Room café on site enables you to relax and recover from all of your activity.
Brockhill Country Park
Roll out your blanket and relax in one of the many peaceful places in the park, while the kids let off steam in the play area. There is also a wide range of organised events. A walk in this park is a good way to recharge your batteries. Visit with your friends or family and take advantage of the great café serving good wholesome food.
