Over the millennia many ships have landed on the shores of Kent. Some carried emperors, Kings, Saints or some were simply Englishmen welcomed home by the dazzling White Cliffs that stand guard over the English Channel.

Canterbury Cathedral

Hever Castle
This 13th century romantic castle, near Edenbridge in Kent, was once the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, the unfortunate 2nd wife of England's most colourful and notorious King Henry VIII. It is set in magnificent gardens from the majestic formal Italian Garden and topiary, to the informal meanderings of the lakeside and Sunday walk.

Penshurst Place and Gardens
Near Tonbridge, Penshurst Place is surrounded by picturesque countryside and ancient parkland and has changed little over the centuries. This Medieval master-piece has been the seat of the Sidney family since 1552 and retains the warmth and character of a much loved family home.

Dover Castle
This magnificent Medieval keep stands guard over the town of Dover high on the White Cliffs. See the recreation of the castle in preparation for a visit from Henry VIII. Climb to the top of the Keep and you will discover why this fortress was impregnable. The views are simply stunning!

Walmer Castle & Gardens
Walmer Castle and Gardens is rich with the memories of the famous residents who lived within it. The offical residence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports. See where the Duke of Wellington lived and died, and visit the on-site Wellington museum to see his original pair of 'Wellington Boots'.
